Wound Care

Mission Wound Care

Caring for a wound that won't heal is a difficult job. If not treated properly, seemingly minor wounds may get worse. The causes of open wounds are sometimes very complex and challenging.  In some cases, healing a wound could be as simple as a medication change, and in other more complex situations, debridements, biological skin substitutes and hyperbaric oxygen therapy may be needed to heal wounds.  The team at the Mission Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center works together to design an individualized treatment program based on your medical history and the severity of your wound.

Our comprehensive wound care center treats a variety of wound conditions including:

  • Diabetic foot ulcers/lower-extremity leg ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers/decubitus
  • Venous stasis ulcers
  • Skin tears or lacerations
  • Traumatic injuries
  • Burns
  • Radiation wounds/tissue damage
  • Postsurgical wounds/infections
  • Spider bites
  • Slow or nonhealing wounds
  • Any wound or ulcer that has not shown signs of healing within 30 days
