Enrollment Questions:

Question: What is a Patient Portal?

Answer: Mission's Patient Portal offers secure, online access to certain information in your medical records.

Question: Are there any fees associated with using the Patient Portal?

Answer: The Patient Portal is a free service offered to Mission Health patients.

Question: I don't remember my user ID and/or password, who do I call?

Answer: You may call the Service Desk at 877-621-8014.

Question: I do not have my original email to access the portal, but I do remember my user ID/password – what is the Portal address/URL?

Answer: After initially accessing the Patient Portal and setting up a user ID/password, you may go directly to the portal by typing in the URL of

Question: How long will my account remain active?

Answer: Your Mission Health account access will remain available as long as you have accessed the account annually. For your protection, Mission Health will disable accounts that have not been accessed in the last 365 days. To restore your access, please contact the Service Desk at (877) 621-8014.

Medical Record Questions:

Question: I was a Mission Health patient in the past; can I see my medical record for previous visits through the portal?

Answer: No, your historical medical records are not available through the portal. Your records are available through the portal for visits made after Mar. 27, 2014. If you need a copy of previous records, you can obtain copies from the hospital. For more information, you may call Health Information Management at (828) 213-0636.

Question: How soon after my visit will I be able to view my medical information through the portal?

Answer: Information will be available for viewing through the Portal within 36 hours of discharge. Some information may have an additional delay.

Question: I visited a Mission Health affiliate, why can I not see the details of my visit through the Patient Portal?

Answer: To access medical records from one of Mission Health’s affiliates, you must sign in directly to that affiliate’s portal.

Family Access Questions:

Question: Can my spouse and I share one account

Answer: No. Just as your medical record is specific to you, Portal accounts are specific to each individual.

Question: I had access to my child’s record yesterday, and today I can no longer access that record – why?

Answer: A parent or guardian of a pediatric patient may request access to and manage a child’s personal health information until they reach the age of 13. Online access is terminated on the child’s 13th birthday. Parents/guardians may contact the physician’s office to discuss their child’s medical situation as may be appropriate.

Technical Questions: 

Question: What do I need to use the Patient Portal?

Answer: You will need a computer or mobile device with Internet access.

Question: Is the Patient Portal a secure site?

Answer: Yes. We take great care to ensure your health information is kept private and secure. 

Question: What is your website privacy policy? 

Answer: The website privacy policy can be found on the Portal website by clicking on the link provided. Mission Health is fully compliant with federal and state laws pertaining to your privacy. 

Question: Can I use my mobile devices to access the Patient Portal? 

Answer: Yes.  If your mobile device has access to the Internet, your medical records can be viewed through your mobile devices.
