Dr. Friedman spent an extra year in fellowship training in advanced imaging, including echocardiography (fetal, three-dimensional), computed tomography and MRI.  He completed some of the MRI training at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, England.

Dr. Friedman is originally from Savannah, Georgia.  He enjoys sports, history, hiking with his dogs, jazz music and healthy eating.  He is enjoying his time practicing medicine in Asheville.  “I enjoy the diversity of people, cultures and landscapes that are abundant in this area.  Plus, I am a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina and am glad to be back in the Tar Heel state”, he says.
