3 Nursing Tracks at Western Carolina University

  2. RN to BSN- Registered Nurse to Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing
  3. BSN to MS(N) - Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing to Master of Science w/ a Concentration in Nursing

Become a Registered Nurse

This track is for those who are not nurses, but wish to become one.  There are 3 general ways to become a nurse:

  1. Enroll in college, achieve a BSN.  At Western, you would attend the first 3 years at the Cullowhee campus.  The final year is at the AB-Tech Enka Campus.
  2. Enroll in community college, get a 2-year liberal arts degree (AAS).  Then, transfer to a university's generic nursing program for BSN.  This will require 1 year schooling at the Cullowhee campus.  The final year is at the AB-Tech Enka Campus.
  3. Enroll in community college, get an associate degree in nursing.  Then go toWestern's RN Completion program, which is 100% online.
