TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) is a new way to treat aortic stenosis. The procedure involves placing an artificial valve in a diseased aortic valve through a groin catheter. This procedure is great news for frail or elderly patients whose options may not include open-heart surgery.
