Mission has been a tobacco-free campus since 2008. Joint Commission requires us to maintain a smoke-free campus consistent with our hospital policy. We are committed to providing a smoke-free and tobacco-free workplace and environment by prohibiting tobacco use on the premises. We want to make sure that our environment is safe for all of us. We also want to make sure that your health and that of others is protected. Being tobacco-free and free of secondhand exposure reduces illness and related disability. Tobacco use is the single most preventable cause of death and disease in the United States. Mission is taking action to recognize the importance of reducing tobacco use.

Employees who are covered under a Mission Health Plan and who are tobacco free, complete the Tobacco Use Affidavit and take our Health Risk Assessment have a reduction in their health plan premiums of up to $600/year ($23.08 per pay period) if you are in the CDH or PPO Plan and up to $300/year ($11.54 per pay period) if you are in the Basic Plan.
